With twenty years of experience as a Scenic Painter, Rut Villamagna has worked for Directors like Wes Anderson, Tim Burton, Guillermo Del Toro, Matt Reeves or J.J. Abrams.
In 2006, Rut was part of the art department team working on "Pan's Labyrinth", which won the Oscar for best Art Direction a year later.
In 2011 she relocated to the UK, based in London. Her professional highlight is the new Star Wars saga as part of the prop painting team: leading on "The Force Awakens" and painting hand props and weapons in "Rogue One", "The Last Jedi" and "The Rise of Skywalker". There are other great ones like "Fantastic Beasts 2 & 3", "Isle of Dogs", "The Batman", "1917", "Miss Peregrine Home for Peculiar Children", "Warcraft: the beginning", "Frankenweenweenie", "Muppets 2", "Maleficent", "Thor 2", "Grand Hotel Budapest", "Guardians of the Galaxy", "Exodus"… plus several collaborations in commercials.
