Some kind of delicacy

Artists: Nathan Anthony, Max Boyla, Ethan Caflisch, Robyn Graham, Or Lapid, Raphaella Pester, Asha Vaidyanath & Michael Wall

The foundation of this exhibition lies with the space itself, and saying good bye to a studio that has been ethan caflisch’s for the past 4 years. the gallery name of ok, goodbye is intentional, a farce, and part of the exhibition - so the gallery may only be in existence for these five days.

From there, the common thread is the various understandings of delicacy. art is, yes, in general, a form of delicacy; but all of the artists chosen for this exhibition, in varying degrees, embody the theme themselves. more importantly, though, their studio practices have undeniable lightness, precision, fragility and the things that come out of them - peak delicacies.

Another piece of importance in this exhibition, is the freedom of each artist to choose their own work with the only pragmatic parameter being that it’s ‘small.’ this exhibition is more about the artist and their studio practice, their tendencies, the artist personally - all of these things bleed into each other to create a vital space of trust and respect.
