Novella Film Festival is a microcosm of what the future of film should look like.
Combining the traditional festival format with the modern world’s progression towards equality and celebration of diversity, Novella gives voice to untold stories, and helps young and/or inexperienced filmmakers get into the industry and make it their own.
Our focus is on quality storytelling: we believe that the film industry should authentically reflect the world it depicts, and this means making way for new and untold stories.
Our goal is to empower filmmakers from all walks of life, and ultimately to allow them to make more films.
That’s why we are proud to offer useful, tangible winnings, ranging from studio space and kit hire, to cash prizes.
