Grow your tiles! Make Park Royal tiles with living clay.
This open to all, drop-in workshop led by Pati Starzykowski will showcase the ecological practice of making with rescued Park Royal Clay, soil and seeds. Materials and tools will be provided.
Pati has previously led community art workshops in and around London working with the same materials, was the recipient of the OPDC and the Mayor of London CEZ grant for the ‘Meteorite [Park Royal]‘ project and consulted on the ‘Tactile’ project for British Ceramics Biennial. This workshop will be a continuation of that work, combined with the most recent project ‘Glossarium’.
Participants can join in collective ecological making of living tiles on Saturday and Sunday during the 2024 London Craft Week.
Suitable for all ages, children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
