The Park Bench Project

Discarded pallets re-made into communal benches with planters, installed on many locations throughout Park Royal

Park Royal — no benches in the ‘park’ and not much greenery either. This sustainable project conceived by carpenter Aaron Pereira provides weary workers with a quiet spot to enjoy a break, a living tree, and contemporary art!

Made from recycled pallet wood collected from the same streets, each bench built will have helped provide employment, clear the streets, raised awareness of our environment, performed a social good and connected people through art.

Generously supported by the OPDC and local businesses.

Find the Park Benches along Dragor Road, Standard Road, and at Clay Works (Imperial College Halls).

This is an ongoing project, with many more benches to follow, with your help and support. If you’d like to “adopt” a bench at your building or business, please reach out to hello@parkroyaldesigndistrict.com
