Naima Elbouihi is an intuitive artist based in West London.
Naima graduated from Central Saint Martins back in 2020 after completing a Bachelors Degree in Textile Design where she specialised in Print Design. Her work focuses on her experiences living with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and living with intruisive thoughts. She hopes to raise an awareness for mental health and her expereinces with grief and spirituality through colour proportion and illustration.
"My aim is to normalise grief in all aspects of life, and the importance of holding space for this as internal suppression can sometimes cause emotional irregulation/unavailability, which can mirror back into someones mental well-being. Sometimes we are scared of love because to love is to feel the heart, and to feel the heart is sometimes to feel the pain. I have found grief is unexpressed love. To remind people that death is not bleak and that it is merely a time ending a journey in this physical realm where you were able to live a version of your souls path, and that it is okay to grieve a version of yourself that you no longer resonate with. You never truly die, all that you are is encapsulated in beautiful memories and universal synchronicities for all those around you".
